The resolution "On the necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba by the United States was approved today at the UN, with 188 member countries of the organization voting in favor of it.
In a plenary session of the 67th UN General Assembly the resolution was only opposed by the U.S., Israel and Palau, while the Marshall Islands and Micronesia abstained.
