Cuban Workers to Celebrate May Day

Cubans will support the Revolution in May Day activities marking International Workers Day, union sources announced.

Salvador Valdes, general secretary of the Central Workers Union of Cuba, told journalists that the date will be observed throughout the country by boosting prioritized labors like sugarcane harvest and the energy revolution.

For Valdez, the date will also be a timing moment to increase production, efficiency and services quality.


The union leader said at a Monday meeting that the theme for that date will be "Unity, strength and victory."
